Using the Halloween Pumpkin Carving Spider Template
You will first need to download the free template document straight to your computer by following the link we have conveniently provided for you at the bottom of this page.
Now, the fun can begin. Print your new template by clicking “File” then “Print” in the Home ribbon above.
Take some common tape and at the corner of each end of your template firmly attach the sheet to a gutted pumpkin. You can find a simple pumpkin carving tool at any store during this season, but if you want to save a few bucks, all you really need is a pencil and a serrated blade to get the job done.
Take your pen or pencil and poke holes along the lines of your spider. The more holes you poke, the easier it will be to cut through your pumpkin and the less of a chance of your cuts going off-course in the next step.
Then, use your serrated knife to cut out the thin wall of the pumpkin where you placed your hold. You should be left with the empty space in the shape of a fiendish spider.
The only thing you have left to do is find a nice space to place your pumpkin and leave a small tea-light candle inside to have your spider glow and frighten the entire area around it!!
