How to use the Social Media Analytics
The format of the template is very simple once you have the page open. There is only one tab of the document that requires your attention.
In the “URL” section of the template in the upper-left-hand corner of the page, you will enter the URLs of the posts you want to track. You can note the progress of each one as you continue to fill out the template
.
The next items you’ll need to enter are the metrics listed to the right of your posts. At the top of the screen, you’ll find a whole row of categories. Go through and list the amount of likes, comments, shares, etc. that your posts received.
You can also change these metrics by clicking on an item and writing something new in its place. This is useful in case you want to use other platforms for your posts instead of Facebook or Twitter.
Now, watch as each of your posts is displayed in the graph below, along with their metrics. You can use this data to see which types of posts (category, topic, length, and subject) to find what type of content would work best for each platform in particular.
