For most phones, especially Apple phones, they set automatic updates for your convenience. The problem arises when you need to change those settings so you can update the apps when you feel like it.
There’s a simple solution to this problem. If you’re using an iOS device, you can choose to either have automatic updates or you can turn this setting off. When it’s on, you can choose whether or not to use your mobile connection to download apps. This could also save you a lot of data usage through the month, saving you a lot of money in the long run.
Unfortunately, there’s no way to disable automatic app updates for your individual apps on Apple devices. So the bottom line is that you can update all your apps at once or none at all. If you need or want to stop all automatic updates, then the steps are pretty simple to follow:
1. Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store.
2. To disable all automatic app updates, turn off the green switch next to Updates.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”11306″ img_size=”medium”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
- If you want to automatically update apps, but only when you are connected to a Wi-Fi network, leave updates on and turn off Use Mobile Data.
