A church event planning checklist is quite essential because churches are always planning events of all kinds, including charity events and catering. As with anything else that requires complex analysis and thought, things can just fall apart unless those who are in charge use some sort of church event planning checklist to help them to determine what’s what. Computers, and more specifically templates, can be greatly valuable in this endeavor because they can save much thought as well as much typing. In this article, we will be looking at a church event planning checklist that is produced by Microsoft Office and is available for a free download on their website. It is also customizable and easy to use.
About the Church Event Planning Checklist
This church event planning checklist template is highly detailed and consists of several pages, each of which contains the plans for a particular type of event. On the first page is a list of the elements of a wine-tasting fundraiser project, which are broken down into many sub-steps and include:
- Initiation: preparing a proposal for the event and a budget therefor; holding a kickoff meeting
- Planning: deciding on where the event is to be held (finding possible locations, choosing one, making the necessary reservations, signing the contract and paying the expenses), taking care of liquor and health department permits (obtaining and posting them as required), printing services (identifying them and preparing notes thereon, choosing the service and signing the printing contract), making a food plan
Lists can be collapsed or expanded. With each step, the amount of time that it is expected to take is given. For instance, identifying possible locations is expected to take at least ten days.
There are more than ten other pages in the church event planning checklist. They contain such items as a project planning calendar, a business plan checklist, marketing plans, presentations and an event planning tracker. Some of the templates are in the form of bar or line graphs.
The template is compatible with Project 2007 or later versions.
