How to Use the Timeline Spreadsheet

To download the free Timeline Spreadsheet you will simply follow the link provided at the bottom of this page.

The next step is to scroll down to the timeline table itself. This Timeline Spreadsheet comes with a few handy tools to make organizing your tasks simple and fun.

You will find text boxes and connecting lines throughout the table. You can move these around and change the information inside them simply by dragging and dropping these tools where you need them to be.

Feel free to add or remove these tools as you see fit. However, you should start by entering the dates of your goal/project. Your project might not span over years, as with the example, but you can easily change these dates by clicking in the cell and writing something new.

The next step is to start filling in your tasks. You will simply enter a task that helps you complete your task in a text box and place it on the timeline. You should place the task on the date you want to have it completed.

When you need to know what to do for the day, you will just refer to your timeline sheet and carry on with your task. Follow your completed timeline until the entire project is complete.

If you want to print your completed Timeline Spreadsheet, just select “File” then “Print” at the top of your screen in the Home ribbon.
