How to Use a Wacom Tablet for Beginners

2 Now that you have your tablet, start the installation disk that came with your tablet into your computer. Follow the steps of the installation as they appear on your screen.

 

3 Connect the USB cable to your computer and tablet.

 

4 Take out all the accessories that came with your table, this will include the pen.

 

5 The pen and tablet should all the synced once you finish installing the driver to your computer with the installation disk. Once everything is powered up and plugged in, you should be ready to start creating.

 

6 If you want to position your pen in a new spot, simply hover over the tablet about an inch above the surface. When you’re ready to start drawing, press on the tablet just as you would with pen and paper. The stronger you press down, the darker your lines will become.

 

 

7 However, you shouldn’t press too hard or you might damage the sensitivity springs in your pen.

 

8 Get creating with various programs. One of the most popular programs to use with Wacom products is Adobe Photoshop.

 

 

How to use with Photoshop

1 Under the “Tool” tab, select your pen and under “Application” select the “All” option. Go to the Mapping tab. Now, in the bottom-left corner of the page, uncheck the checkbox marked “Use Windows Ink”.
