How to Use the Event Budget Planner
Downloading the template is simple; just follow the link at the bottom of this page.
For now, skip the “Summary” table at the top of your screen and scroll down to the “Expenses” table instead. You will go from column to column, entering the information required.
For each item, enter the name of your expense, the category it falls under, the quantity, the unit cost, and the Budget Planner template will calculate the final amount in the last column for you.
The last table of the document is for you to enter your income types. The list provides you with multiple examples but you can easily change these to suit your needs. You will simply click the cell you want to change and type something new instead.
You will notice that both the expenses and income sections of the document provide you with total calculations at the bottom of each table.
Finally, scroll back to the top of the page to the “Summary” table. Here, you will find your total expenses, total actual income, and the balance after everything. The Budget Planner template even breaks down each category to show you the percentage spent of your budget for each category.
